The Coral Reef Project
A learning unit centered around Florida’s Coral Reef with a VR component, designed to provide an immersive experience for Spanish language learners. The project was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Johana Barrero and two undergraduate students between fall 2020 and spring 2021.
Cuzco 360
A 360-degree immersive experience designed in a beginning Spanish class, offering a virtual tour of Cuzco and integrating a gamified cultural component.
Miscellaneous
The “Literature Lab” project in SPW3030 Introduction to Literature in Spanish (Spring 2023) integrated Virtual Reality (VR) to enhance student engagement with Hispanic literature. Students created immersive VR environments to explore literary elements such as topoi, tone, imagery, metaphors, and point of view through varied representational means.
