Multimedia Adaptation of Selected Chapters of Don Quixote
“Between Admiration and Laughter: Don Quixote and Sancho Panza in the Ducal Palace” is a multimedia adaptation of selected chapters from Don Quixote, aimed at improving accessibility through IFLA guidelines, Inclusion Europe Standards, and Mayer’s Multimedia Learning Principles. The project integrates text, images, audio, and video to foster inclusiveness and multiple literacies. It examines Cervantes’s exploration of the formal and thematic aspects of Erasmian folly, especially in the episodes with the Duke and Duchess, where the ambivalent charge of Cervantine parody both revitalizes and degrades the chivalric genre.
El conde Partinuplés: A Multimedia Bilingual Adaptation
The project adapted Ana Caro’s El Conde Partinuplés to highlight the cultural significance of a historically marginalized female author. Centered around a bilingual digital adaptation of the 17th-century play, it adheres to European Easy-to-Read and IFLA standards for maximum accessibility. The student adaptation of the text was combined with AI-enhanced visuals, interactive avatars, and immersive environments. Presented within a curated VR exhibition on ArtSteps, the project provided a collaborative platform for students to explore how female authors of the Spanish Golden Age articulated their identities through diverse literary forms.Published as an open educational resource (OER) on Pressbooks, it is freely accessible and adaptable, making it suitable for a variety of educational contexts and learning objectives.

Multimedia Narratives
This project redesigns a survey literature course on medieval and Spanish Golden Age literary texts, centering on multimedia storytelling to connect classic Spanish narratives with professional applications across diverse fields. Students explore how narrative techniques from early Spanish literature influence contemporary culture, examining examples like Star Wars and Taylor Swift’s storytelling. Using tools such as AI and immersive media, they develop narratives for various purposes, from personal branding to educational and professional presentations. The course includes LinkedIn Learning modules on storytelling and the UNF “Introduction to AI” badge. It also showcases multimedia’s professional uses through the faculty member’s own LinkedIn profile and webpage, preparing students to create and assess impactful narratives across media.
